Pro- procrastinator

Procrastination; a word that is so difficult to pronounce that you will end up procrastinating while pronouncing it. The word procrastination means :- "The action of delaying or postponing something" Have you ever been in one of those situations where you wake up early and you are brushing your teeth and getting ready for the day that's when you realise that it was all just in your dream and that you weren't brushing your teeth for real? This post is exactly for such pros.

Right now as you all know that we are in the middle of the pandemic and most of us are indoors, we do have a lot of stuffs pending down our lists but as we have time in hand, we might as well 'delay' and 'postpone' our duties. This makes us the lazy Pandas of the PANDAmic (creative isn't it!). The problem is not just yours or your neighbour's but also mine. So let me share a little bit of my Panda-like behavioural traits with you.

I have been having procrastination problems since my school and college times. Now, during this quarantine, like many of us I have kept many short term goals for myself which include skincare, workout, research work and of course writing this blog. The thing is I have so much time in hand therefore, I just let go of my goals, kick back, relax and take a chill pill about them. Instead, you will find me watching videos, listening to music, dancing around or give silly excuses like " OMG! I have to cook food so I will do my task later" or "I have to clean my bedroom/ wardrobe" etc etc, even worse I end up doing none of those chores mentioned above. The evilest of all companions of my procrastination is waking up late, PS: this is the best excuse I give myself to delay all my tasks. My alter ego tells me "no problem if I woke up late, I can definitely do it tomorrow." God knows how many 'tomorrows' have skipped  this way, all of them have turned into 'todays'.Sigh!. And then the same old 'eat, sleep, repeat' cycle continues. Sometimes I feel like cancelling this year and running away to the Himalayas, but that is not possible.

So, after all the above ranting I finally worked upon a solution. Firstly, keep a positive mindset. Well, using self - abusive words doesn't do any good to complete any task, so it is better not to use them. I used to call myself a "Queen Procrastinator" but now I just stick to "Queen" *wink*. Secondly, jump right into your tasks. It maybe any task from your list (if you made one) just jump into it. I make sure my limbs are moving to complete a particular goal in mind and not wait around for Mrs. Motivation to push me. Just Do It! as Nike says. Thirdly, as far as waking up early is concerned, for me it works one way, sleep early. Do any of those life hacks over the internet but sleep early. I usually go to bed early, I may not fall asleep instantly but it works well instead of wasting my time on social media. Also, waking up early gives me enough time to jump into my tasks and complete them systematically.

Pandas are really cute tbh! but you don't wanna turn into one do you? Now the onus is on you. These were a few tips I curated for myself as I was turning into a pro-procrastinator. Do let me know in the comments below if you have more tips to share. Also, please do subscribe to my blog and suggest any topic you want to hear about. Till then Buh-Bye!

Light of joy!

Hello there and welcome to another episode of "Talking sense with Juhi".. What? What was that? when was the first episode you ask? Well, if my blogs or my instagram posts make any sense at all to you, you are on track with me.   So now the title needs to be elaborated like how I elaborate answers in my law exams. The only difference is I had no idea what I was writing in those papers (God bless my examiner).   I am sure a lot of us love scrolling through our social media during  this quarantine pt 2. I do it too. But did anyone of you notice how that makes you feel? Especially now that we are into this whole new phase of pandemic. Let me put it straight to you, it makes you feel like sh*t. We all are stuck in this loophole of never ending negativity (you cannot deny this) and the fun part is we love churning and churning about it the whole day, discuss it with multiple friends and family members and make sure that their mood is also as sh*itty as yours. Its like...

My self-love mirror..

Namaste my babies! Long time, no see.  Well, Bar Exams + work turned me into a hot mess. Now that the exams are done, let's move on to another episode of 'Talking sense with Juhi'. I don't know how much sense do I make with these blogs, but nevertheless they do conclude with some sense (hopefully). Now, lets proceed with the title.  I am going to tell you a small story about my self-love incident. Okay so I was all new to this concept of self-love back in I guess 2017 during my fourth year in law college. I started reading a lot of books, blogs and was following all the motivational peeps out there on social media. They all pretty much fixated on the concept of self-love for a fruitful life. One of the authors (can't remember her name now) spoke of a wonderful technique of self-love which required looking at yourself in the mirror and saying 'I love you', either in your mind or out loud, preferably with a smile. She also suggested saying affirmations out ...
